Soli Cafe is an association which is located in the City of Salzburg and is active in the entire state of Austria. The Soli Cafe provides a space and accommodation for workshops, movie nights, lectures, readings, language courses, intercultural encounters without the compulsion to consume anything. Our focus is a solidary togetherness and an antifascist consensus. Our greatest goal is a good life for everyone, in a society free of discrimination that upholds human rights. Throughout our activities we got in touch with the Roma community in Salzburg. Encountering their needs, we developed and are still developing a project.
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
We will help to find a local standard accommodation. The volunteer receives food money monthly. Local transport is provided.
TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY
On-arrival training and Mid-term training, which is organized by the Austrian National Agency – with other volunteers in Austria.
We are looking for a volunteer who is interested in working with the Roma Community in Salzburg, who wants to help us organizing and carrying out various actions to reach them, to document their situation and to build a bridge between them and the people living in Salzburg. Preferably, the volunteer speaks already a bit of German (level a2) and might know another language such as Romanian, Italian, Spanish, French or Serbian. Although level a2.
