This activity will take place between 7th April to 4th June 2021. This action is taken as a group of solidarity united to the local community. The volunteers’ work schedule will be weekly, consisting of 6 hours of work per day for 5 days per week. The group will be managed by a coordinator that will facilitate the organization of the activities, and the interaction with the team of local people with whom the participants will carry out the work. The project activities will be of different types: – educational workshops for children on education environmental, management and maintenance of the refuge, knowledge and enhancement of the heritage – local animation activities, intercultural awareness – management and maintenance of trails – excursions and organization of events promoting local heritage.
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
Food and accommodation will be provided (at no cost for the volunteer), participants will be sharing an apartment in Roccantica, composed of two bedrooms, three fully equipped bathrooms, one kitchen and one dining room/lounge for the volunteers to share in the village of Roccantica, with Wifi connection. The volunteers will receive pocket money,5 euro per day (300 Euro in total).
TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY
The volunteers will participate to on-arrival training and mid-term evaluation provided by the hostting association.
12 volunteers required between 18 and 30 years old (four with fewer opportunities: economic/geographical obstacles, disability, refugees), motivation for international volunteering, strong motivation to work and live in a rural area. motivation in developing new competencies and learning about community development, environment and natural protection, sustainable development and ecology territorial cooperation and rural tourism, The volunteers need to have basic communication skills in English.
