PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The aim of the project is to increase social inclusion of people with fewer opportunities and disabilities and to support education of children and young people. Main activities and tasks for volunteers: – Special Europe Point: a desk which promote EU opportunities, offering information, assistance and guidance to support the participation of young people with fewer opportunities. – Animal Assisted Education: animal assisted interventions to support learning and education in schools, playgrounds and youth centers. – Animal Assisted Activities: animal assisted interventions to support rehabilitation and to promote accessibility to sport for people with disabilities. – Outdoor Education: activities to promote healthy lifestyles, well-being, respect for nature and animals.
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
Volunteer will be provided with: – accommodation in a rented flat, in a 2 persons room shared with other volunteers; – monthly pocket money and food allowance; – monthly ticket for public transport.
TRAINING DURING THE PROJECT
General Online Training, Linguistic support, Pre-departure training, On-arrival training, Mid-term evaluation, Annual European Solidarity Corps events. Non formal training on soft skills, conflict management, team building and problem solving. Other trainings related to the project activities.
VOLUNTEER PROFILE
We are looking for volunteers interested in care, education and social inclusion of people with fewer opportunities and disabilities. They should be open-minded, communicative, have good social skills and be happy to work with children and disadvantaged people. We especially welcome applicants with a previous experience in volunteering or social work.
