Project’s aim ● EDUCATIONAL: to offer young people creative and engaging ways to understand the concepts related to the solidarity themes of the project; ● SOCIAL: focusing on affectivity and the relationship with the surrounding nature, to raise awareness on how sustainability, the fight against mafias, racism, oppression, and any form of discrimination is fundamental; ● ENTREPRENEURIAL: to give young people the opportunity to develop their gender identity and aspirations in a safe and creative way. ACTIVITIES: 1. SOCIAL AND ECOLOGICAL AGRICULTURE: participation in the agricultural activities within the farm, notably in the management of the vegetable crops, the olive groves, the vineyard and the henhouse; participation in the organization of public events, seminars, workshops 2. ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
Accomodation: Shared flat with other volunteers of the project (utilities are also covered) Pocket money: € 5 per day (= € 152 per month) Food allowance: € 150 per month Travel costs: Distance bands: 500 – 1999km : € 275 100- 499km: € 180
TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY
The commitment required from the volunteers will be 30 hours per week. Volunteers will have the possibility to live the experience in full freedom and responsibility, to manage autonomously their own time and activities in agreement with the actors involved and the project staff, to develop personal initiatives and projects consistent with the proposed voluntary activities. Youth pass, mentor, training with the hosting organization.
We are looking for curious, flexible and active volunteers who are ready to get involved andmanage, independently but always in tight connection with the team, complex processes involving different people and organizations. Agronomists, botanists, architects, engineers, sociologists, philosophers, economists, anthropologists, artists, activists interested in agricultural issues, with a strong desire of looking at an ecological perspective of the society, open to experimenting new solutions bringing together the issues of work, environment, self-production.
