PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Aim of our organization is to promote the idea of ​​volunteering and civic activity for the benefit of organizations, institutions and people as well as comprehensive support for people and institutions interested such activity. We are the only organization of this kind in Gdańsk and the only one supporting volunteering in the regional area. We are looking for 2 young and motivated persons TO SUPPORT our organization in daily activities and learn new skills. Areas that we want to offer to volunteers are closely related to the profile of our activity: VOLUNTEER OFFICE, COOPERATION WITH SENIORS, LOCAL VOLUNTEER CENTRES, SCHOOL VOLUNTEERING, VOLUNTEERING IN SPORT, GDANSK VOLUNTEER WEEK, PROMOTING of the volunteer center and DEVELOPMENT of our website and SOCIAL MEDIA, GRAPHIC DESIGN. We will help You to implement Your own ideas based on Your interests, passions and skills. The basis of these activities is broadly understood “assistance to others”. It is up to You which path You choose.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

You will live in a 3-room apartment, which you will share with another volunteer. The flat is fully equipped. You will receive a monthly city card to travel around the city. We will provide You with the pocket money and money for the food and travel to/from Gdańsk. Our office is located in the city centre with good public transportation connections.

TRAINING DURING THE PROJECT

The project is unique learning experience. During You will be participating in several trainings: – Pre-departure training (PDT) : organised by Your sending organisation – On-arrival training (OAT) : organised by the Polish National Agency – Mid-term training (MTT) : organised by the Polish National Agency – Final evaluation : organised by us and after arrival with sending organisation. Besides, during the project You will get : – a task-support mentor who will help You with task-related issues – a personal mentor who will support You during Your stay in Poland

VOLUNTEER PROFILE

Our projects are generally open to young people who want to become volunteers in the 18-30 age range. Previous work experience and qualifications may be useful but not necessary. We are looking for dynamic, creative, sociable, responsible and patient people. You should also be keen to work with different target groups of our organization like youth and seniors. You do not need to have any experience abroad. Participants must be interested in working in voluntary field. We offer wide range of activities which are based on various competences and give the opportunity for personal grow.
