Mugla, one of Türkiye’s most famous coastal destinations, is hosting a long-term European Solidarity Corps (ESC) volunteering project focused on youth work, education, culture and social inclusion. This opportunity allows international volunteers to live in a Mediterranean seaside city while gaining hands-on experience in youth activities and community projects.
Project Description
The ESC project is implemented by Yaygın Eğitim ve Gençlik Çalışmaları Derneği, based in Muğla, Türkiye. Volunteers will support the youth work carried out within the association and contribute to ongoing local and international activities. Their participation will help strengthen the organisation’s impact, improve the quality of youth work and bring an international dimension to local projects, attracting more young people to community activities.
Volunteers will be involved in the association’s activities five days a week, with an average workload of approximately 35 hours per week. Tasks will be assigned according to volunteers’ skills, interests and learning objectives.
Volunteering Activities
Volunteers will take part in activity preparation, office and organisational work, mind games, Turkish language courses, reading workshops, digital youth work, cultural learning nights, youth information activities, local projects, conversation clubs, research and development work and evaluation activities.
Accommodation, Food and Transport
Accommodation will be provided in shared flats or apartments. To enhance cultural interaction, volunteers may share accommodation with local volunteers or students. All apartments will be fully furnished and equipped with kitchenware, electrical appliances and essential household items provided free of charge.
Volunteers will have access to a kitchen and will be able to prepare their own meals. A local public transportation card required for participation in project activities will be provided free of charge.
