ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

moveurope! seeks to make Europe more tangible for young refugees by creating new opportunities which allow them access to the wider European space. We aim for a world in which equal opportunities for everyone are given, regardless of nationality and birth privileges. We welcome you for an overall period of 11 months. During your permanence in Germany, we offer you continuous support and training. We actively support to improve important skills, such as digital skills, intercultural dialogue, mediation skills, project development and management skills. Working with us, you will acquire a broad knowledge of European mobility and project management tools and be able to spread your knowledge, becoming ambassadors for increased opportunities for all. Another extremely important added value of the project given the 11 months duration, is the possibility to improve or learn German while working with us.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

We will support you to find a room in the city of Witten or in one of the cities nearby, such as Bochum or Dortmund. The costs for the rent will be covered by us. Food: You will receive a monthly amount to take care of your board. For travel outside the city related to your ESC, we will cover the costs.

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

Different trainings will be provided in – European legal migration framework – cultural mediation – intercultural dialogue strategies – project management – event management. Furthermore, there will be freetime activities each month organized together with other ESC volunteers in the region.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

The most determining factor for us is your motivation to get involved in an intensive learning process. Skills & competencies required: – Highly proficient in spoken and written English – Advanced skills in German desirable. – Former experience in the field of European mobility and/ or migration. – Former experience in working with young people and in the organization of Youth groups – Diversity Competence – Self-engagement – An empathic and open mind – Readiness to work with digital tools – Interest in elaborating new contents – experience or interest in labour market integration topics.
