The country welcomes 500,000 foreign students each year. China’s higher education system is the largest in the world, offering thousands of degrees in English. Tsinghua University

It is a research university located in Peking, the capital city of China. It has a 13% rate of international students. Tsinghua University is especially competitive when it comes to sciences, economic management, humanities, and law.

Peking University

Peking University shares the title of Best University of China with Tsinghua University.

Fudan University

It is a university in Shanghai under direct protection of the Ministry of Education.

You should apply for a Chinese student visa right after you get your acceptance letter from your university. It doesn’t matter whether you are a EU citizen or not; you still have to apply.

The first step is to decide to apply for an X or F visa.

An X Visa is for students staying in China for more than six months, while an F visa is for ones staying less than six months.

Make sure to prepare all the necessary documents months before you arrive.

European nationals or students from the UK, Canada, and Australia can apply for a student visa through CVASC (Chinese Visa Application Service Center). If you’re from somewhere else, apply to your nearest Chinese embassy or Consulate Office.

      • Passport with at least six months of remaining validity
      • Passport photo
      • Your admissions notice from the university
      • Physical Examination Form

Application fees change depending on your home country, but the general price is about 140 USD.

The application process is fast, and it takes about a week to process your application.
