Germany Freiburg ESC European Solidarity Corps S’Einlädele in Freiburg/Germany has a history of about 30 years of supporting partner organisations in Ukraine. We are looking for volunteers, who like to be part of this support, which is now even more important then ever. Volunteers can work in our non-profit café, which is a lovely, cozy place, where people come in and find a homely atmosphere with homebaked cakes and tartes. You also can support different cultural and religious events in our café or organization.
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
Accomodation: fully equipped housing, utilities, internet. Volunteers flat together in groups of 2-6 persons. Food and transport: During working hours food is provided for volunteers. For the other meals, volunteers receive money in order to buy their own food. The amount is according to German regulations for volunteering. Also a certain amount for transport is provided, which allows volunteers buying a monthly ticket.
TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY
Volunteers attend one-arrival-trainings as well as mid-term-meetings. Regular sessions about political issues and sustainability are offered and volunteers are expected to play an active role. We would be very happy, if volunteers are willing to take over responsibility and like to initiate own (small) projects.
Volunteers need to be open to a Christian organization. We cooperate mainly with volunteers facing various obstacles. You don’t need to be smart or good looking – but open and interested in a new experience and willing to leave your comfort zone 🙂 We prefer volunteers from Eastern Europe (especially from Ukraine, Romania and Moldova). However, if you are from other countries and feel, that this is the perfect place for you, we are happy about your application! You can write your application in English, German, Ukrainian or Russian.
