Istanbul Turkey ESC European Solidarity Corps Gönüllü Hizmetler Derneği is a non-governmental organization that aims to enable individuals to participate in all kinds of activities that will support their personal, social and cultural development under the most appropriate conditions. Our acitivities are International Voluntary Workcamps, European Solidarity Corps (ESC) and Youth Exchanges (EU Youth Programs), Childhood Dreams (children program for disadvantaged kids), Imece 2006 Social Solidarity Group, Yaşayarak Öğrenme Merkezi (YASOM), East West Camp. 2 volunteers will work in both YAŞÖM and GHD online and sometimes in the office to help organizing their activities. Most of the work will be online but some weekdays there might be work in the office in İstanbul. Also there will be activities in other cities as well. Days of work will be flexible but. Max 5 days and 35 hours per week. Volunteers mostly help to create visuals, videos, organise language clubs and workshops. There might be additional work according to skills.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

Volunteers will have their own budget and pay their rent, bills and food. They will be free to live wherever they want in Istanbul. There will be additional pocket money. Pocket money is fixed for Turkey and it is 4€ per day.

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

The volunteer will get an office training by the staff. Later on will participate in “On Arrival” and ” Mid Term Evaulation” trainings organized by the Turkish National Agency. The online office work experience developes day by day with the help of the staff but the volunteer is expected to be familiar with computer, ZOOM, Microsoft Office programs, social media, etc.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

The volunteer must be:- Bilingual (English and Turkish or any other language. Turkish is not a must but preferred. Any other language is a plus)- Ready to run activities online and ready to work remotely with computer.- Preferably has experience to organize online workshops, activities.- Voluntary experience in intercultural environments and with young people/children is a plus.- Able to use Microsoft Office programs. Also using design programs or design websites are plus(canva.com, picktochart.com, adobe Photoshop etc.) Applicants must send their CV and ML to esc@gonulluhizmetlerdernegi.org
