Peru Lima ESC Aid Volunteer You will support the incorporation of the Gender transformative approach and AAH international safeguarding in the mission by disseminating AAH Gender Policy within the mission, promoting Gender transformative approach; leading the Gender Minimum Standards certification process to certify the mission; contributing to the implementation of AAH International Safeguarding Policy and production of a Mission Safeguarding and Gender work plan; helping to build up and /or strength a solid safeguarding structure and create a SEA-free environment. You will also be promoting the PSEA within the mission, helping to deliver training and awareness-raising activities on safeguarding and engaging with women’s NGOs and PSEA international net at local level and helping to build alliances, supporting the communication strategy and the development of inclusive and non-sexist communication materials and providing advice on appropriate gender-sensitive indicators for the mission’s projects.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

You will be deployed in Lima to AAH – Perú and carry out missions to the field. You will have a standard of living similar to the standard in the country. Your working calendar will correspond to AAH agenda in the country. For each month of voluntary activity, you will earn 2 days of rest, in addition to public holidays. You will receive a monthly Subsistence Lump Sum for basic needs. Accommodation, Travel, Visa, Pre-deployment medical check, mandatory vaccinations, and Allowance will be covered. Fewer opportunities support will be provided in case of need.

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

As an ESC Humanitarian Aid Volunteer, you will attend online before and on-site induction at the arrival to your deployment Mission. Training during deployment will also be offered to improve your skills and competences.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

A Social Sciences professional with specific training in gender and protection, you have knowledge in gender mainstreaming methodologies, high sensitivity/adaptability, no cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality, age prejudices. Desirable specialization in community development issues in social needs or humanitarian action. Capacity for planning, organization and analysis in gender, diversity, intercultural mainstreaming methodologies. Autonomy, proactivity and Change management skills. Experience/personal commitment to the promotion of gender equality in humanitarian/development work.
