ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Through this 12-month project (March 2022- February 2023) we would like to give space for the ESC participant in these areas: work directly with kids in the kindergarten by organizing educational activities and games, English language support for children and staff, bring ideas and work on participant own project which will be addressed to children development, help with community events organizing, help with administrative work in office and cooperation with members of the team of RC Krtko, cooperate on other activities of RC Krtko with the staff. Although hosting organization is slovak kindergarden, they also teach kids english. They have interactive lessons, carry out various activities for children and families. It offers atmosphere in which they promote and support tolerance, mutual respect, and acceptance between children as important values for the future. Hosting org.: RC Krtko, Coordinating org.: Bratislavske dobrovolnicke centrum (BDC).

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

We will provide you an accommodation. The room will be in a flat or a house shared with other people. The flat is fully furnished and will provide participant with everything he/ she needs. BDC is responsible for the food arrangements in form of cash in the hosting project according to the standard of living in the hosting country. BDC provides the volunteer with the pocket money and money for the food and travel to/from Bratislava.

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

Training is directly related to the skills and knowledge necessary for the volunteer to have in order to do a particular job. BDC will take care of Orientation training (first days after arrival). You are obliged to attend On-arrival and Mid-term training organized by the National Agency. Trainings sessions to acquire new skills useful for your job and future life (Time management, Project management, Soft skills training, etc ..) are held once a month and every 3 months there is a mandatory supervision meeting. At the end of your vacancy, you will gain the Youthpass certificate.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

In this project, we are looking for someone ready to take up new challenges, who like to work with children. He/she should be enthusiastic about growing their personal and professional skills and prepared for unexpected experiences. Participant must be 18 years old or older. Training in childcare or experience in work with children is an advantage, but not necessary. Required qualities include: flexibility (work with children requires good adaptability to changes), creativity, open-minded, empathy, self-reliance, responsibility for assigned tasks and communication skills.
